Care Farming group 2 finish

It was a busy and sad morning today as we said goodbye to our group 2 Care farming students from Holsworthy Community College.

The students came ready for action as always, armed with a card and chocolates too (thank you Brendan, always nice!).  The chickens were sorted, the calves were fed, watered and bedded up.  8 weaned calves were moved from the shippen to the big shed with the other weaned calves, that was fun to do!  We drenched the other 8 calves with a medicine that prevents tummy bugs, then it was off to see the bull in the field.  We finished our morning with planting runner beans, peas and potatoes in the vegetable plot, weeding the onions, transplanting the lettuce seedlings and watering everything !

Well done group 2, you have been a joy to have on farm.  Good luck for the future !
