Care Farming sessions to begin

An exciting time is approaching as we begin Care Farming sessions with Holsworthy Community College.

We have finally sorted a Care Farming Package for some students from Holsworthy Community College and they begin at the end of February.

What started out as a 6 session program, once a year, has turned into an ongoing program, with every Wednesday morning being our session.

The students will be in charge of Calf Rearing - feeding them milk, nuts, hay, bedding up, cleaning out, general health checks etc.  We also hope to have some time for the students do to some Show preparation work - haltering up the calf, learning to walk it, washing and grooming it.

Then the students will undertake some project work, such as building raised vegetable plots.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming the students to Julians Farm very soon.
