Chilsworthy Chapel Ladies Survival Afternoon

Saturday afternoon saw some of the Chilsworthy Chapel Ladies gather at Julians Farm for a Survival Afternoon, with Steve Haywood leading the proceedings.

A fantastic afternoon was had by 10 ladies, making camp fires, filleting fish and cooking over the campfire.  Steve Haywood showed us several different ways in which to light a fire, then we all got stuck in making our own small fires, which eventually all got pushed together to make our 1 big camp fire.  Steve also showed us all how to correctly gut and fillet fish.  All the ladies did their own fish, getting very mucky in the process!  jacket potatoes were pushed into the embers and a pot of water went onto boil for hot chocolate !! (ok, I know you wouldn't get that in the wild but hey!!).  Rucha, our friend from India, said a few words and a pray and we got stuck in.  It was wonderful having that time together.
