Class 3 go hunting

Wednesday saw Class 3 of Bradworthy primary Academy join us down at Julians Farm for a morning of autumnal hunting,

After our standard Health and Safety talk, off we went into the fields to see what autumn delights could be found! The children love taking the lapboards filled with interesting identification sheets and seeing what they can find. The hedges at this time of year are amazing - some leaves are still hanging on and are amazing colours; others are bare and prove great for the children to try and ID them;the autumn berries and rosehips are on show (no touching of course!)and the Scavenger hunt sheet proved a big hit.

When we got back to Pigs Court Classroom, we looked at the Scavenger sheet and went through the groups to see what they had found.

To finish off the morning, we planted Conkers!!  Hopefully some will grow and next year the children can plant some Chestnut trees.

Well done Class 3, you were great!!
