This morning saw the return of Class 4 of Bradworthy Academy to Julians Farm to look at the River Torridge.
A very well behaved Class 4 returned today to do some speed tests on the River Torridge, enhancing work they have been doing on Rivers in the classroom.
We set up 2 10 meter stretches to look at the difference in time it would take for paper balls to travel down the river. 1 stretch was close to rapids, the other on a slow moving stretch.
We also did a large distance and it was recorded it took 17 minutes for the paper ball to appear at the finishing point !
The children also picked a stone from the river bed to take back to class with them, as they are looking at the sizes of stones at different sections of the river. Needless to say, they didn't pick small stones !!
A fantastic morning Class 4, you were great!
