Group 4 Care farmers start

So, last week saw the children all back to school and we saw our group 4 Care farmers students begin their 6 week course with us.

This time we have 4 Year 7's and and 2 Year 9's on farm with us.  We spent our first morning on a farm walkie talkie, explaining what we do, what changes are happening, why they are with us, what to expect etc etc.  We took a walk to see the river cattle, we fed and bedded up the weaned calves, fed the bull and bagged up a huge pile to logs into nets ready to sell.

It was surprising how times flies when you're having fun and the morning disappeared so quickly.  The students worked really well for their first morning and I have lots more in store for them over the next few weeks.
