New sponsors join our care farming projects

We are delighted to announce we have 3 new sponsors joining our Care Farming projects.

We are thrilled that Smallridges Bros, the John Deere Dealership based in Holsworthy are able to help our Care Farming projects with lending us a mechanic for each project.  This equates to 8 visits per year at the moment and we are so thankful that they are willing and able to support us in this way.  Our first mechanic visit will be next Friday morning.  They will talk to the students about how to make sure the tractor is work and road safe and how to do some simple service checks.  The students are very excited !

Secondly, we should let you all know how fantastic Kivells Market in Holsworthy have been to us too.  The students who go on a Wednesday get to look around the market whilst the animals are being sold and sometimes get to go in the rostrum with Mr David Kivell himself !  On a Friday, we try to visit when there is an auction on the Saturday, so items are being brought in for sale.  Mr James Morrish then gives the students the grand tour and passes on some of his wealth of information.

Lastly, we have Matt from the Devon Wildlife Trust coming out some Fridays t talk to the students about our involvement with them and what they are doing to help the local environment.  We very much look forward to Matt's first visit in 2 weeks time.
