Jenni was involved in a Stem project morning today at Okehampton College.
As a STEM Ambassador, Jenni has to agree to help out at a STEM event every year. Today, at Okehampton College, they were doing a Housing Development Plan with Year 10 students. They had work in groups and establish: Company Name, Logo, newspaper article, site planning, tender letter, finance projections for sales/build and profit. it was a very enjoyable morning and a great challenge to the students. They then had to do a group presentation. I was involved in the judging process and there were 3 groups who scored 48/49/50 out of 50 points.
After this, Jenni then met with the Deputy Head, Jo Gibson, to arrange a visit to the farm with the hope of setting up another Care Farming project and Survival Days. Exciting times ahead.
