This week saw us welcome some Primary aged students, from Bridgerule and Bradford Primary schools, as part of our Care Farming project.
Our resident Yr 9 student was joined by some Primary students this week and they got on so well, it was a fantastic morning. I was so impressed by their attitude to listen and get on with the jobs and they were so excited to be with us, it was great!
Our usual morning consisted of moving, feeding and cleaning out the chickens, feeding Trojan and feeding the calves their milk/nuts/silage/straw and cleaning them out and bedding them up.
We also bedded up and got ready the new pen as 16 of our 20 calves are now weaned and needed moving, making space in the shippen for new calves to come in next week.
They worked really hard, well done !
