Reception class visit Julians Jungle

What jungle animals did Reception Class find at Julians this morning?

Monkeys, Crocodiles, Lions, Giraffes, Snakes and Zebras were all spotted on the farm this morning.  Reception class bought a lovely selection of soft jungle toys with them to help them with their creative writing tasks.  We visited the baby calves, a grass field that became our "savanna" plain and a hay field which became our Jungle Grass !!  All this different settings were used to get the childrens imaginations working for their own jungle animal stories.  They had snack time whilst listening to the Jungle Book story.  They coloured in Jungle animal face masks and collected leaves and flowers whilst on our adventure to press back at school.  These will then be made into the front covers of the stories.

A very enjoyable morning was had by all!
